The St.
Patrick's Day Parade Committee has as its sole
purpose the promotion, organization and management of
key aspects of the 2006 St. Patrick's Day Parade. We
need more volunteers. If you would like to volunteer,
Click Here. The 2006 parade will take place at
10:00 am on Saturday, March 18th, starting at Congress
and 11th Street in Austin, Texas. This will be the 1st
edition of the parade. There will be floats
made by the good people of Central Texas, gigantic
helium balloons, marching bands,
dance teams, cheerleaders,
the announcement of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Queen & Her Court, and more! |

Canned Food
Donations to the Parade!
Make this St. Patrick's Day Parade special
by bringing a donation of one or more cans

The Parade will
also be an occasion for all spectators to bring a donation of
canned food that will be collected during the Parade.
These food donations will be used to help feed the needy of
Central Texas. We also donate a portion of all entry & sponsorship
fees to selected Central Texas organizations that serve the
needy. |
St. Patrick’s Day Parades have attained the distinction
of being one of the top annual events in the United States.
In fact, St. Patrick’s Day Parades and the celebration
of Celtic culture have become the largest annual single
day celebration in most cities across the United States.
This is because St. Patrick’s Day Parades have become
an attraction for the entire community. And this is the
wonderful key to the fun that is St. Patrick’s Day.
